August-September 2019: Pop-up versions of the National Archives exhibit Rightfully Hers will be distributed to 62 venues across the Nebraska—including schools, libraries, museums, and community sites—to be displayed for the centennial.
August 16, 2019, 5-7:30pm (CT): Votes For Women: Nebraska's Suffrage Story Exhibit Opening, an event at the Nebraska History Museum, celebrating the opening of the exhibit Votes for Women: Nebraska’s Suffrage Story.
August 16, 2019 - January 2, 2020: Votes For Women: Nebraska’s Suffrage Story, exhibit at the Nebraska History Museum.
August 24, 2019: Votes For Women Free Family Fun Day, an event featuring a scavenger hunt, banner and button-making, and suffragist storytime at the Nebraska History Museum.
August 26th, 2019: Nebraska League of Woman Voters Suffrage Centennial Kick-Off Celebration on Women’s Equality Day. This event will feature a presentation on the 19th Amendment by Judge Laurie Smith Camp, Senior District Judge of the United States District Court, District of Nebraska.
On August 2, 2019, Governor Ricketts issued a proclamation marking the 100th anniversary of Nebraska ratifying the 19th Amendment.
The Nebraska State Legislature has voted to recognize August 2019 as Nebraska Women’s Suffrage Month.
