August-September 2019: Pop-up versions of the National Archives exhibit Rightfully Hers: American Women and the Vote will be distributed to 48 venues across the North Carolina—including schools, libraries, museums, and community sites—to be displayed for the centennial.
September 7, 2019, 10am-3pm (ET): She Changed the World, a nonpartisan event on the grounds of the State Capitol held by the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources to kick-off the state’s celebration of the suffrage centennial. There will be vendors, partner organizations, exhibitors, food trucks, performances, and a voter registration drive! Come, participate, and learn about the women of the past and present who can inspire you! This is event is free to attend and open to all.
In March 2019, the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources launched a campaign in celebration of the centennial of women’s right to vote called She Changed the World: NC Women Breaking Barriers.
