Across the US, governors, state legislatures, and local governments are drafting executive orders and joint resolutions to recognize, commemorate, and honor their state's role in the passage of the 19th amendment.

By lifting up a community’s local history in the fight for women’s right to vote, executive orders and joint resolutions are an opportunity for each state to celebrate important suffragists and historic milestones in its own suffrage story. The Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission encourages all states and communities to issue executive orders and pass joint resolutions to honor this milestone in American democracy.
